City Impact Church Volunteers will have:
- Poured over 725 concrete trucks – more than 3625 cubic meters.
- Poured over 8 acres in concrete. Record day: 19 trucks.
- Over 2 years pouring concrete 2 set days a week (Saturday & Wednesday) not one pour had to be cancelled due to weather – for those who know Auckland weather, this is an absolute miracle!
- Handled nearly 80 tonnes of steel. (The average African bull elephant weighs 6.8 tonne; the largest elephant on record weighed in at 10.8 tonne)
- Moved and applied 1308 sheets of reinforcing mesh
- Laid and installed approximately 59,278 meters of cable & wiring, nearly 60 kilometers! (A marathon is 41.8 kilometers)
- Moved 30,000 tonnes of dirt and clay (An adult blue whale weighs 181 tonne) Assembled & installed 300 meters of air-conditioning ducting
- Worked for 2 years every Saturday – an average of 300 people involved in the project at a given time
- Worked approximately 100,000 man hours. (It would take 1 man about 50 years to build it alone – not including the digging for the earthworks!)
- By picking up the rubbish on site every Saturday for 2 years, our Senior Pastor has filled 7 skips. Fed the army of volunteers every Saturday for 2 years. This estimates to over 3,000 pies, 19,200 sweet cakes, 38,400 savouries, and yet-to-be-numbered scones, pikelets, lasagnas and curry rices.
- Been the equivalent volunteer labour force of over $4 million! Approximately a quarter of the total building cost!
