GRACE BRINGS LIFE

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Romans 3: 23

We need to know and understand that we are not saved by works or by our own righteousness, goodness or any other reason. We are saved because He loves us, and His grace and favour is towards us, just as we are.

Law produces death. We see this at Mt Sinai where the law was given. The children of Israel had come out Egypt, through the parted Red Sea, and then afterwards complain that Moses had brought them out there to die. Guess what? Not one person died. They came to the bitter waters of Marah and complained again. Then they got hungry and complained. They got thirsty and complained, but all this time still no one died.

Grace is not dependant on how good we are but on how good He is. It is not how faithful man is but how faithful He is. And even when we are faithless He is faithful!

Then they came to Mt Sinai, where the 10 Commandments were given. This was followed by the golden calf saga…and now about 3000 people died! In the book of Acts on the day of Pentecost, under grace, 3000 people were saved. The law produces death, but the spirit gives life. You have not come to Mt Sinai, but Mt Zion.

Jesus touched the leper and the leper was cleansed. The leper did not defile Jesus. Under the law anyone who touched a leper was unclean, but the New Testament takes everything to another level. Jesus makes all things new. It is not what is wrong with you; it is what is right with God.

Have you accepted the grace of God and invited Jesus Christ into your life?
