SHIFTING SEASONS

“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good.” Genesis 1 v 3-4

Often people are not aware of the season that they are in, or that the church is in. They just drift through life oblivious that a new season is right around the corner.

Seasons come and they go. You can miss the purposes of God by being out of sync with the seasons. You can even do the right thing at the wrong time and you get the wrong results. We need to be people who do the right thing at the right time for the right results.

He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. God is eternal, before time, before a clock ever starting ticking, before the first sunrise. He had no beginning and has no end. He will be there when time is no more. He is the Almighty God, the Lord our Creator. God spoke the world into being and man is created in His image. That means you have a creative force in you.

Man is creative. Out of a tree man will bring forth a chair, a table, a bed. Out of the cotton field man will bring forth blankets and clothing. When you pray for something, don’t necessarily expect the answer to magically pop up, often God gives you the raw material so that together you bring a miracle about. Be creative in life.

1. God is strategic - He has a strategy, purpose and plan. He will bring order. He has a plan for your life and is not finished yet. He looks at you and says “It is good”.

2. God has a system - Everything has a seed within itself and the seed is the future. God does not get up every morning and say “let there be grass”. It was a one time deal, “let there be” and there was. Your future is inside of you.

3. God is a God of synergy - Everything mates with its own kind. You have to hook up with the right people. One wrong person kept Samson from fulfilling his destiny.

4. God is a God of time and seasons - Ezekiel wrote about a wheel within a wheel, circles with in circles. The way the planets move in circles is the way that we have seasons.

Time can just plain get away on you. You can waste time, loose time, but you cannot replace time. David said “Help me Lord to number my days” to organise and structure my life so that I make the most of it. David understood that all his days were written before his was born. God has been, planning, strategising and working on your life. He put a lot of thought into it all.

You are a miracle waiting to happen, pregnant with your future. You just have to come into the right season to bring it forth. It is lying dormant within you, but given the right conditions, those dreams and desires will surely come to pass. If you don’t position yourself you will most likely miss the next season of your life.
