December 2008
City Impact Church is entering through the Gates of Peace
Throughout December 2008, and on into the rest of our lives, we need to reaffirm the Gates of Peace. God’s shalom/peace includes the meaning: nothing missing, nothing broken, complete and whole. What a gate to have passed through! City Impact Church, this belongs to us!
Jesus is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Peace was delivered at His birth, administered throughout His life, signed for with His blood and guaranteed at His resurrection. Luke 2:14 records that peace was made available to us when Jesus came to earth at His birth 2,000 years ago. This is the greatest Peace Treaty ever announced. It was delivered as a baby and signed in the blood of the sinless man, Jesus Christ. After His death, burial and resurrection as Jesus was about to leave earth and return to heaven, He promises in John 14:27 that He is leaving His peace with us. He then differentiates between His kingdom peace that He is giving to us, and the world system peace that breeds trouble and fear.
Peace is ours when we receive what God has done for us through His son, Jesus Christ. He promised in Isaiah 26:3 that He would “keep us in perfect peace” as long as our mind, (our thoughts, our mental processing) was “fixed with trust and confidence on Him.” When we willingly obey Colossians 3:15 and “let the peace of God rule in your hearts” it will be an anchor for our minds to be fixed with trust and confidence upon.
Remember who we are in Christ, we are His Peace Keepers. We have the greatest Peace Treaty ever made as a guarantee of our rights and privileges in Him. Always be ready to boldly proclaim the Good News and deliver it, with love, in the midst of trouble and fear. Let’s stay committed to our royal assignment and see our destiny unfold before us, and the destinies of others changed and transformed into the kingdom of the Prince of Peace.
December Declaration:
Joy to the world, the Prince of Peace has come.
Peace reigns in my life.
God’s good will is toward me.
My heart is not troubled or afraid.
God’s peace rules in my heart.
My mind is fixed with trust and confidence on my God.
Perfect peace belongs to me.
I am who God says I am – I am whole and complete.
I have what God says I have – there is nothing missing or broken in me.
I can do what God says I can do – cast out demons, heal the sick, preach the Gospel.

On Dec 4th this group will wrap up the eight part video series and book for women by Lisa Bevere titled, “Kissed the Girls and Made Them Cry”. It has been an excellent series for women of all ages to find freedom in God’s plans for both men and women.
Thank you Sherry for leading this series in your home.
Group #1 – Pastor Tom, 295 Canada Street, Marysville. Currently this group is studying the book “Honor’s Rewards”, by John Bevere. This is for everyone not involved in Group #1 and is a empowering time of growth as kingdom principles are established for powerful kingdom living.
(For Dec 11th and 18th group #1 will combine with group #2.)
POWER PRAYER
Join us for Power Prayer each Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at 295 Canada Street.
Don’t miss this vital time in the life of City Impact Church. The power of agreement in Word based prayer is a mighty force which connects us WITH God, and according to Matthew 19:26 “all things are Possible WITH God.” Praying God’s Word is praying according to God’s will.
SACRIFICIAL, SIGNIFICANT SEED OFFERING – MARCH 29, 2009
We are ¾ of the way through to our annual opportunity to come together in one accord to honor our God with our sacrificial, significant seed offering. How exciting it is to see our ‘seed bags’ filling up! Remember Galatians 6:7 promises us that whatever we sow, we shall reap. As we honor God, His vision for this house and Pastor’s directives for this house we shall reap honor. When we operate in kingdom principles we are eligible for kingdom benefits!
