I live in Rothesay Bay with my two girls, Courtney and Abigail and my son Addison. I’ve been a part of City Impact Church for the past 13 years. In 2004 I began working in the early childhood field during which time I have obtained a Bachelor of Teaching with New Zealand Tertiary College. My previous position was at City Impact Church Kindergarten where I worked alongside committed and dedicated teachers. More recently, I have been given the privilege of managing the Childcare Centre, an opportunity I am completely committed to. Working in a Christian Centre is amazing. I love the opportunity to impart God’s truth to the children and be part of a wonderful team of enthusiastic, dynamic teachers. The families we serve are varied and unique and being in a position where I can bless, encourage and assist gives me great pleasure.
- Peter Bone – Head Teacher
Hey, I’m Peter Bone. I am currently in my third year of study, working towards a Bachelor of Teaching (ECE). As head teacher, I am driven by creating environments that are fun and exciting that give children the opportunity to explore and develop their creativity. I am passionate about seeing the children in my care raised up to be fine young men and women who in their identity, purpose and influence, who know their place in society. I value the strong Christian principles reinforced here in the centre’s day-to-day activities, believing the foundation laid by them will be of immeasurable value for the child’s future.
- Jalaine Armstrong – Administration Manager
I live in Orewa with my husband of 25 years, Stephen and three beautiful daughters; Caitlin, Brohgan and Ashton. We have attended City Impact Church for 18 years and our children were born here. While at home with my girls I started home based nannying through Barnardos which lead to 14 years of work in my home and a new passion for the care of children. Returning to the workforce, I managed the Childcare Centre for 4 years and gained my Diploma in ECE Teaching. I am now working to complete my B Ed through New Zealand Tertiary College while managing and providing support for the Administration of all our education centres within the church.
My name is Esther Higham and I have been a Christian since I was 7. I live in Greenhithe, but I was brought up on a beef farm in South Head where my parents still are. I have always been passionate about children, so it seemed fitting to train to work with them to give them an awesome educational experience while in Early Childhood care. This year I will be working towards finishing my Degree in Early Childhood Education. I love watching and being a part of how a child learns and develops in their early years; their enthusiasm, excitement and sense of awe is something to be valued and treasured.

My family and I are actively involved in City Impact Church – we all love the part we play here. I started working at City Impact Church Childcare in January this year. It is a pleasure and honour to be working with the teachers and children, and I really enjoy cooking the wonderful meals for the children. I love talking and laughing with the children, and thank all the teachers, parents and children for their wonderful support.
Hi, I am Camille. I am 22 years old and have been a Christian for coming up two years. We are both actively involved in City Impact Church, with my role to look after the 1 year olds during the evening services.
I am currently in my last year of study towards a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Auckland University of Technology.
I absolutely love working with the children and staff at City Impact Childcare centre, and consider it an absolute privilege to teach and work with children and their families to help them succeed to their best potential.
I place a high value on the centre’s Christian curriculum, believing this holds a vital role in shaping the next generation.
