CITY IMPACT YOUTH AT OREWA

19TH NOVEMBER 2008

Last Friday evening City Impact Youth took over the Orewa Youth Centre and Skate Park for the final time in 2008.

With the sunlight sticking around for a little longer this month we were able to make the most of the outdoors - skate boards, scooters and BMX bikes rode the park while inside the centre a serious and sweaty game of basketball hit the court.

The night ended with a load of fire works set off by the token pyromaniac’s commando who crawled over the field battling the wind as he lit the fuses. Only one fire work fell over nearly setting Jordan and Steve alight as they ran and jumped for their life – providing much entertainment it quickly became the highlight of the evening!

A big thank you goes to Melanie Russel and the team who have worked hard to put these events together for us this year. This week we will be hitting Waiwera hot pools! For further information on this, check out the Youth Page.
